NURTW leader dies of "Magun" in Concubine's house in Akure

A leader of the Nigeria Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), simply identified as Oluwole, allegedly died of "Magun" (tunderbolt) last Thursday in his concubine's house in Akure, the Ondo State Capital. Few minutes after the body of the victim was rushed to the State Hospital by his alleged unidentified concubine, the premises of the Accident and Emergencies Unit of the Ondo State Specialist Hospital, Akure was almost filled to the brim with onlookers, commercial drivers and family members of the deceased, who was identified as the Chairman of "Benin Garage" wing of the NURTW until his death. According to sources, the victim had last Wednesday, few hours before his untimely death, told one of his two wives on telephone that he would not be able to return home because of an important meeting and the wives believed him not knowing that he planned to sleep with another woman where he later met his death overnight. It was gathered that he had been warned by several friends and relatives who were said to have told him that they had some dreams and revelations about him that something bad was about to happen to him and that he should be careful of his ways. The latest revelation, it was gathered, was from one of his friends at about 7pm at the Benin "garage" that Wednesday night before he left the place for the concubine's house arond Lao, off hospital Road, Akure. Following the incident, the said concubine was arrested by the Police and detained at the "B" Divisional Police Station, Oke Aro, Akure. Efforts to know the full identity of the victim and his concubine proved abortive. When contacted to ascetain, the cause of the death of the victim, the Chief Medical Director of the Hospital who confirmed the story simply said "all we know and we can disclose to you is that the man was brough here dead".
