The Panel set up by the Nasarawa. State Chief Judge, Suleiman Dikko to investigate the 16 impeachment alleged misconduct leveled against the Governor of the State, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura by the State House of Assembly controlled by PDP was this afternoon dismissed by the panel.
Reading the report of the panel at Lafia, the Capital of Nasarawa state, the Chairman of the Panel, Mr. Yusuf Usman said the State Assembly who leveled misconduct allegations against the governor has failed to present evidences at the floor of the panel.
He said further that, the governor who appeared in person yesterday defended himself through documents tendered by his counsels, while the lawmakers, who appeared through their lawyers said they would not be presenting any evidence for the panel.
The Panel Chairman said since the lawmakers failed to present evidences to back up their allegations, the case against the governor is hereby dismissed.
